NFB Championship 2023 : University Category

Tournament Structure

• Over 150+ Teams | 600+ Participants are expected.
• The tournament will take place in two categories.

•       University category

Undergraduate students from any university in Sri Lanka can participate in this category.

Note that the teams will be representing each university and all the team members should be from the same university.

•       Open category

       All the PUBG players in Sri Lanka can participate in this

         Category.

Group Stages 

• Group Stages of above mentioned two categories will be taken place separately.
• Group stage matches will be held on the 24th April to 29th April 2023.
•  Each group will have 3 matches in the group stage.
• ·        1st match - Erangel
• ·        2nd match - Miramar
• ·        3rd match - Sanhok
• Only 36 teams (The leading 9 teams from each group) from each category(University & Open) will continue to the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals

• Semi-Finals of University & Open categories will also be taken place separately.
• Semi Final matches will be held from 29th April to 2nd of May 2023.
• There will be 2 separate lobbies for the Semi-Finals, each with 18 teams included.
• 4 matches will be held in each semi-final.
• ·        1st match - Erangel
• ·        2nd match - Vikendi
• ·        3rd match – Miramar
• ·        4th match - Sanhok
• A total of 8 teams from each category (University & Open category), will be qualified for the finals. (The Top 4 teams from each Semi Final)
• All the Semi Final matches will be live-streamed on the official Facebook page of the Mora Esports Community.

Finals 

• The Selected 8 teams from each Open and University Categories will participate making a total of 16 teams in the NFB 2023 Final.
• The finals will be held at a physical venue.
• Final matches will be held on the 04th of May 2023.
• A total of 4 matches will be held in the final.

•       1st match - Erangel
•       2nd match - Vikendi
•       3rd match – Miramar
•       4th match - Sanhok

The top 3 teams from the overall point table of the finals will be declared the winners of the NFB Championship.

All 4 matches will be live-streamed on the official Facebook page of the Mora Esports Community.

All matches of the tournament will be held in advanced rooms, where the loot capacity will be doubled.

Note that the number of teams and the corresponding groups can be varied according to the no of participants.

Ranking System 

Overall points will be calculated depending on both kill points and placement points.

Points criteria which will be used is a standard one as follows.

One point will be given for each kill obtained.

• In case of overall points being the same in a game, the team with the highest number of total kills in a certain round will be given priority.
• Ties between two teams in an overall stage will be determined in the order of,

•       Total Chicken dinners across the tournament games
•       Total placement points
•       Total kills
•       The placement points in the most recent match will be considered.

Rules 

• Teams have to participate in the tournament from the same accounts which they have registered at the beginning. For any adjustment, they have to contact the organizing committee only if it is an inevitable situation.
• Every account has to be at least level 35 to be eligible to participate in the tournament.
• Players have to play on their own devices. Only mobile players are allowed. If any team joins the lobby including an emulator player the whole team will be disqualified from the tournament.
• Room ID and Password will be shared 15 mins before the start of each match. Make sure to be on time.
• Please take into consideration that if any team is unable to make it in time to the room the team itself should take full responsibility.
• Make sure that you have all 4 maps downloaded before entering the room. We won't delay or reschedule a match in case of such a situation.
• Each team will be given a fixed room slot for each round. (Group stage, Semi-Finals, Finals)
